The album Components (1965) by vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson reveals two facets of his personality through a sextet featuring Freddie Hubbard, James Spaulding, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Joe Chambers. Side 1 offers post-bop pieces written by Hutcherson, side 2 explores the more avant-garde compositions by Chambers. Tone Poet stereo edition, all-analog, mastered from the original tapes, pressed on 180 g vinyl and presented in a gatefold sleeve.
