Blue Lake, the project of Jason Dungan, unveils with The Animal its fifth and most ambitious album. Inspired by the world of Don Cherry and true to a direct and sensitive instrumental approach, Dungan continues the path opened with Sun Arcs (2023). This new work, consisting of ten fiery and powerful tracks, highlights the collective chemistry of his band. More amplified yet still acoustic, the album celebrates human collaboration and explores the condition of man as an animal, within an ecological and communal vision. The Animal embodies a musical metamorphosis that confirms Blue Lake as a transformative force in contemporary music.
