The first EP by Bloodbath released in 2000, now available with bonus tracks! Bloodbath is a titan of death metal from Stockholm, Sweden, notable for the inclusion of members from Katatonia and Opeth and, in their recent period, for the addition of Nick Holmes, one of the British legends from Paradise Lost to join the brutality. Formed in 1998 with a mutual fascination for horror and the glory days of death metal from classic bands such as Entombed, Morbid Angel, Cancer, and Autopsy, Bloodbath has remained a leading figure in extreme metal since the release of their EP "Breeding Death" in 2000, and a formidable force for over 20 years, recently cemented by their opus "Grand Morbid Funeral" (2014) and its follow-up, the even darker "The Arrow of Satan is Drawn" in 2018. "Breeding Death" was the original catalyst that propelled Bloodbath into the realm of death metal with all its might. Mainly dedicated to recreating the energetic sound of great Swedish bands such as Entombed, Carnage, and Dismember, "Breeding Death" was a pure cult of death metal aimed at reviving the essence of old-school brutality at the dawn of the 21st century. The EP was recorded at The Sanctuary in Sweden, with production and mixing tasks also handled by Dan Swanö. This edition of "Breeding Death" is presented on a CD and includes bonuses in the form of demo versions of the songs "Breeding Death" and 'Ominous Bloodvomit'.
