Blurred Visions

Description

Formed in Nantes in 2017, Bleakness quickly played in all the venues in the city before embarking on their first European tour the same year, then settling between Paris and Lyon. With Blurred Visions, set to be released on February 27, 2026, via Vicious Circle, Bleakness delivers its most accomplished album to date. Created with less urgency than previous works, the band took the time to refine their compositions, streamline the structures, and place a central focus on melody, both in the music and in the vocals. The band draws its influences from English post-punk and 80s Californian death rock, blending them with the intensity and urgency of the contemporary punk/hardcore scene. The result: a dark post-punk sound that is both energetic and melancholic, revisiting the atmosphere and the rebellious spirit of pre-gothic scenes while injecting a dose of punk rage.
