Released in 2002, "Edge Of A Dream" will be reissued in a limited edition Cream vinyl as part of "Bert Jansch 80," which celebrates the lasting legacy of Bert Jansch's guitar playing and songwriting. Following "Crimson Moon," "Edge Of A Dream" is one of Bert Jansch's last studio albums. It features original and traditional songs that reflect the blues and folk traditions he is known for. There are a few traditional covers, including the lesser-known instrumental "Gypsy Dave" with violinist Dave Swarbrick and the haunting song "All That Remains" featuring Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star. Known for his collaborations, "Edge Of A Dream" sees Jansch accompanied by Bernard Butler, Ralph McTell, Johnny "Guitar" Hodge, Makoto Sakamoto, Paul Wassif, Colm Ó Cíosóig, and Loren Jansch.
