Backyard Babies was formed in 1987 in Nässjö and can rightly be considered the most influential glam punk band in Sweden. Between 1994 and 2019, they released eight studio albums, including Making Enemies Is Good and Stockholm Syndrome, which earned them a Swedish Grammy. In 2005, they released their only live album, recorded at La Maroquinerie on May 6, 2004, featuring powerful and turbocharged renditions of hits from the album such as "Minus Celsius," "Earn the Crown," and "Brand New Hate." The talent of guitarist Dregen (famous for The Hellacopters) drives the whole performance with total energy, while singer Nicke Borg keeps the crowd excited between songs, adding to the immediacy of a well-recorded live album.
