La Grande Accumulation

Anadol and Marie Klock collaborated to create the album La Grande Accumulation, born from their meeting at a festival in England and their work at Anadol's studio in Istanbul. Inspired by the unique atmosphere of the island of Büyükada, the album explores absurd themes with a strong desire to live, through French lyrics based on their conversations. The project blends Klock's mysterious metaphors and Anadol's psych-pop, with six tracks that push the boundaries of traditional pop conventions. Anadol employs a musical collage approach, while Klock brings anarchic humor and existential reflections, creating a unique work that straddles synthpop and neo-folk. Mixed in Hamburg and recorded in Berlin, the album stands out for its sound quality and absurd stories, such as that of a cursed woman or a hidden ghost. La Grande Accumulation reflects a fusion of innovative and poetic musical ideas.
