Formed by three musicians seen alongside Dutchman Jacco Gardner, the band celebrates 1970s Anatolian rock, with a groove that could wake the dead. The revelation of the 2017 Trans Musicales de Rennes. One might think this Turkish-speaking group comes from Istanbul. In fact, it was founded in Amsterdam at the end of 2016 by Dutch bassist Jasper Verhulst — who usually performs with the retro-futurist Jacco Gardner — and who fell in love with the golden age (altin gün, in Turkish) of the Anatolian rock scene. Their music might seem kitschy, but instead it proves to be delightfully exotic.
