"When we wrote the story of 'Ronchonchon et compagnie' with Liz Cherhal, we immediately thought of the voices of Juliette, Jehan, and Loic Lantoine to interpret the three ronchonchons. We didn't even consider a 'plan B'; it had to be them. I knew Juliette, who honored me with her incredible presence as a 'godmother' in the video 'les Affranchis,' and I met Jehan and Loïc Lantoine at concert evenings around Allain Leprest. This family of authentic, poetic, funny, and talented singers was what I had been looking for a long time, both personally and artistically. The idea of bringing them together to tell the story of this lost village where everyone complains for nothing was an ambition that combined the pleasure of working together and the joy of being close to each other. A double happiness, once again, artistic and human... As for Laurent Deschamps, his many projects for young people (Samuel l'apprenti sage, Rémi l'Ami du Sol...) convinced me that he would make a perfect Aimé Fonky. Finally, Liz, who wrote a large part of the songs, took on the role of Rosie and the Fonky sisters. They were all available and played along with the talent and humor we could expect from them.
