Singer-songwriter from Lorraine, Alex Toucourt imposes an authentic and unique musical signature thanks to a strong, multifaceted, and modern identity. A self-taught guitarist since the age of 8, he gradually became a multi-instrumentalist and began writing and singing to create his first solo album "studiOrange", with which he became known to the general public in 2010 by laying the foundations of an "acousticool" universe, blending a guitar, a warm voice, and melodies that stick from the first listen. Then came "Mémoire d'Éléphant Rose" in 2013, deepening the groove of a more mature writing style and deeper atmospheres, followed by "Le Fruit du Bazar", produced like the previous one by Dominique Ledudal, released in 2021, which confirms this expanded palette: pop-folk, multi-layered arrangements, and finely crafted lyrics. An album notably marked by a very successful duo collaboration with JP Nataf (from the band Les Innocents) on the track "À Demi-Mot".Alex Toucourt now returns with TOBOGGAN, a 4th album with a sharp perspective, observing and questioning. Recorded between August and September 2025, this new opus, co-arranged and co-produced with Alexis Campet, marks a consolidation of his universe imbued with a freshness that fully anchors it in the spirit of the times.The title TOBOGGAN suggests a strong image: a movement, a slide, a back-and-forth between height and descent, between the vertigo of childhood and adult reflection. It evokes play, risk, freshness, the ability to climb back up or change direction. Through its 11 songs finely dressed in pop, folk, and sometimes rap and slam pulses, TOBOGGAN is a record where words matter, in which Alex shares a tender gaze on the world, on us, tinged with melancholy and mischief, poetry and hope.
