Fantaisie Militaire

Description

“I was seen in the Vercors, bungee jumping...”: abundant imagery and luxurious arrangements make Fantaisie militaire Alain Bashung’s essential album. Lyricist Jean Fauque delivered around a hundred texts (to keep only twelve) and spent nearly a year reworking them with the singer. Bashung surrounded himself with musicians such as Les Valentins, Rodolphe Burger, Joseph Racaille, Adrian Utley (guitarist for Portishead) and Ian Caple for the production. One of the singer’s biggest successes, thanks, among others, to the track La nuit, je mens. Excerpt from the 2016 guide “La Discothèque idéale Fnac”
