For this fourth album, co-written with Jean Fauque, the lyricist who succeeded Boris Bergman since "Novice," the singer drew inspiration from a note found on a military march score. A fantasy? Not really: the twelve songs, on a long night journey, open wounds, scrutinize the sleep of hibernating sleeping beauties, and sketch, with double-edged expressions, the contours of a consciousness in the process of rebuilding after an emotional breakup. Driven by Edith Fambuena's (Valentins) guitar, "La nuit je mens" remains a classic, as do "Sommes-nous" and "Samuel Hall" (the latter co-written by Rodolphe Burger of Kat Onoma).
