« I See Three Birds Flying» is the magnificent 6th album by ADRIAN CROWLEY. It follows «Season of the Sparks», winner of the Choice Music Prize in 2009 (album of the year in Ireland). The recording sessions saw a great number of loyal friends and collaborators, notably the string duo GEESE (EMMA SMITH & VINCENT SIPPRELL). With most of the vocal takes recorded in one go, the immediacy and emotion are palpable. CROWLEY mixes curious and forgotten instruments from yesterday with today's technology, to create a fertile backdrop and lay down his unique baritone voice. Both tender and menacing, sprinkled with flashes of humor, one senses a man in love with words. The writing matches the music: brilliant.
