About
The Fall pioneered an idiosyncratic style blending post-punk, alternative, and experimental rock from their Manchester roots. Mark E. Smith’s unique vocal delivery and lyricism define the sound throughout a career spanning 42 years until his death in 2018. The band issued dozens of vinyl releases, including studio albums, live recordings, and Peel Sessions—the latter documenting their frequent appearances on John Peel’s influential radio show. The group resisted mainstream trends, remaining deeply embedded in the underground scene, mixing art punk, new wave, and electronic elements.
Collectors find a range of original UK pressings and numerous reissues on labels like Beggars Banquet, Cherry Red, Cog Sinister, and Rough Trade, with vinyl formats extending to numbered picture discs…
