New Pop Vinyl Releases: Fresh Albums, Color Variants and Best Prices

Pop music on vinyl: what's new

New pop vinyl on this page brings together albums that just came out and catalog reissues. Current pop sits next to established names: the catalog runs from Tove Lo, Tinashe and Leon Bridges to Suede, Suzanne Vega, Howard Jones and Chaka Khan, plus reissues from The Beatles. You'll also find French-language pop from artists like Grand Corps Malade, Cali and Tiakola, a good entry point if you're curious about what France listens to. Pop is one of the main forces behind the vinyl revival, and big releases now very often come out on LP.

Color variants and exclusives, explained

More than in most genres, a pop album comes out in several versions. Artists like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish have made fans used to runs of variants: different colors, alternate covers, signed copies, exclusives for one retail chain or the artist's official store. The music is often identical; what changes is the object, the run size and the price. Read each listing carefully so you know which version you are buying.

• Standard black vinyl: usually the cheapest and easiest to find
• Limited color variant: pre-order it if you really want it
• Deluxe edition: bonus tracks, sometimes an extra disc
• Barcode (UPC/EAN): the surest way to pin down one exact edition

How to keep up with new pop records

Albums come out worldwide on Fridays. Pre-orders for major releases often open the day they are announced, sometimes months ahead, and the most limited variants can sell out right then. Record Store Day in the spring adds exclusive pop editions, and anniversary reissues of 1980s and 1990s favorites return regularly. This page gathers new pop records as they reach partner stores, which makes it an easy place to see what just landed.

Comparing prices on new pop vinyl

The price of the same pop record can vary quite a bit between stores and between variants. Here you can compare offers from several partner stores for each album, then click through to the one you want. For a standard edition, prices often move in the weeks after release, so comparing first helps you pick the right moment. For a limited variant, it's better not to wait too long.

Format matters too: a long pop album sometimes comes as a double LP, pricier but less crammed on each side. If you're torn between CD and vinyl, compare both, since the CD is usually cheaper, while a limited vinyl edition can hold some value with collectors.
