“Simply incredible” Los Angeles Times Thibault Cauvin, “The guitar superstar” (Quotidien) unveils his unique reinterpretations of BACH's timeless works on February 3. “Recording Bach’s music… Perhaps the greatest and most beautiful adventure an performer can undertake, delving into his eternal and timeless notes is profoundly moving. I remember, preparing this album for months, losing track of time every morning as I plunged disoriented into these scores that resembled world maps. The ultimate journey is undoubtedly this great legendary Chaconne, which has driven mad those who play it and those dreamers who listen to it, for centuries. Like an adventurer setting off to discover new territories, when one strikes the first chord of this ocean, one feels as though they are leaving the dock for a miraculous epic. This music of Bach can be scholarly, cerebral, impressive, but it is also evident and universal. It is the wisdom of childhood that I wanted to rediscover by recording this album in the Dordogne region where I used to vacation as a little boy; to find that joy, that light, that gentle serenity. There, in a wonderful little church with an enchanting sound, I recorded Bach’s notes, day and night, and I deliver them to you here, like one passes on a map leading to a treasure.” Thibault Cauvin Widely acclaimed for his passion and creativity, he has continuously won awards and, by the age of 20, he had won 36 awards in total (including 13 first prizes) – more than any other guitarist. For over 15 years, he has toured extensively and played in the most prestigious venues worldwide. 120 countries, 1000 solo concerts with this unique guitar stirring New York's Carnegie Hall, Moscow's Tchaikovsky Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, London's Queen Elizabeth Hall, etc... His universal playing and graceful personality have charmed and brought together all audiences. His new Bach album is an unmissable Classical event!
