Gospel Train (1956) is a major album by Sister Rosetta Tharpe, an essential but long underestimated pioneer of modern rock. The first album released by Mercury Records, it combines her incomparable fusion of guitar-driven blues and traditional gospel, with the support of the Harmonizing Four. Tracks like 'Up Above My Head', 'Jericho' or '99 ½ Won't Do' illustrate the full extent of her talent. Mastered edition from analog tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl.
