Hotel Ambient was originally part of the extremely limited edition of the album Hotel, released in 2005. This bonus album, which reveals some of MOBY’s most sublime and immersive works, is now being released in a remastered version and includes previously unreleased tracks. Hotel Ambient takes stock of MOBY’s roots, highlighting his diverse influences, ranging from Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Brian Eno, to Derrick May’s groundbreaking techno in Detroit, as well as the experimental IDM of Warp’s early releases.
