About
Moby, From Harlem punk beginnings to global electronic landscapes since 1989.
14 vinyl albums across ambient, electro and pop; early '90s techno singles still sought after.
Moby's music spans ambient, electro, and pop genres, evolving since his early days with punk band Vatican Commandos. His debut album emerged in 1992, followed by ambient and electro releases like ‘‘Ambient’’ (1993) and ‘‘Everything Is Wrong’’ (1995). ‘‘Play’’ (1999) brought unprecedented commercial success, licensing every track for sync use. Vinyl collectors find a varied catalog, from limited editions like ‘‘Always Centered At Night’’ (2024) to remixed sets and experimental projects.
Multi-instrumentalist and producer, Moby integrates guitar, keyboards and samples, often merging melancholic melodies with driving beats. His work also includes film scores and politically engaged themes. Recent vinyl releases continue to reflect his diverse influences and sonic experimentation.
