Sound diary of 15 tracks, described by Damon Albarn as "a journey through America" and by 2D as "...essentially just me," The Fall was recorded in 32 days on the road during the Plastic Beach tour in late 2010. The fourth studio album by Gorillaz, it notably includes the tracks "Revolving Doors," "Amarillo," and "Bobby In Phoenix (ft. Bobby Womack)." This album "dazzling from start to finish" [NME] was initially offered to fans on Christmas Day 2010, just a few weeks after its recording. A true anomaly in Gorillaz's discography, The Fall eventually received a physical release in April 2011.
