Zoh Amba, an emerging figure in the improvisation scene, brings together an unprecedented trio with drummer Chris Corsano and guitarist Bill Orcutt. Their spontaneous meeting in the studio gives birth to The Flower School, a recording of particularly intense and coherent free improvisation. The music rests on a constant dialogue between raw energy and subtlety, where contrasts (softness and violence, tension and lyricism) are continuously explored and transformed in real time. Each musician pushes the others to exceed their limits, creating an unstable yet profoundly alive balance.
