Zoe Heselton is a British poet and musician based in Strasbourg, France. Alone with her Telecaster guitar, she draws from her multiple influences to develop a fingerpicking style that blends flamenco, folk, and blues, infusing her voice into the strings as she recites rhymes about change and desire. For this debut album, she surrounded herself with her talented friends who are dear to her heart, singing between tenderness and anger, balancing melodies and dissonances with the band's arrangements. Since her songs are both narratives, incantations, poems, and prayers, these additional personalities give them a power shaped to regenerate, carried by kind souls and generous hearts. These musical gems are sea shanties for sadness, litanies for survival, and spoken word pieces crafted to dance through the darkness.
