Early ritual and hallucinatory percussion works by the late master of rhythmajik, Z'EV. This legendary album, originally released in 1986 (LP, Dossier), is finally available in a high-quality remastered version. Also included are the 20-minute bonus tracks “Titan Night,” recorded at the Berlin Atonal festival in December 1983 and available here for the first time since the original 1984 split LP with Psychic TV (who gave a legendary concert there). Z'EV played entirely steel percussion instruments, custom-made and designed to optimize the venue’s acoustics. Each track reveals atmospheric and melancholic percussive compositions created by Z'EV. If you are familiar with his work, you will notice that these tracks are rawer, more stripped-down, and more authentic. Each piece is built around a defined percussive structure, explored throughout the track, moving from striking energy to more drifting and introspective moments, and exploring all the intermediate nuances...
