The rhythmic jingling of chains, reminiscent of satanic sermons, then gives way to the sinister melodies of Norwegian black metal. This blend of genres, which has sparked interest online since April 2016, is the work of Zeal & Ardor.It is the first baby of Swiss-American musician Manuel Gagneux. His approach to music is based on a vision of alternative history, a contrasting thought. Noisey describes it as "one of the most intriguing albums of the year." With lyrics colored by the sacred chants sung by those groups of chained prisoners, Zeal & Ardor's level of blasphemy rises yet another notch.
