Description

You Tell Me is made up of Peter Brewis, a member of Field Music, and Sarah Hayes from Admiral Fallow. Their self-titled debut album was recorded in the former headquarters of Field Music and will be released on January 11 via Memphis Industries. After meeting at a Kate Bush concert, the pair immediately clicked. By combining their songwriting talents, they created a record that strongly reflects their individual personalities within a single voice. Each member is involved in writing and composing, making it a "dual-personal record" according to Peter. Strings glide over layers of synths and percussion while the vocal melodies find harmony at every turn. This is indeed an album of pure songwriters, but without falling into nostalgia, they infuse it with a refreshing contemporary style.
