The Ladder

Description

The earMUSIC label presents a new wave of earMUSIC Classics releases, offering reissues of studio and live albums by prestigious artists in attractive packaging. This wave, on June 26, 2020, will include vinyl albums in various formats, including several limited editions, and reduced-price CDs. In this new wave, you will find albums by YES, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, The Moody Blues, Paco de Lucia & John McLaughlin, Duran Duran and Heart. 'The Ladder' is the eighteenth studio album by Yes, released on September 20, 1999. It is the first of two albums by the band with six musicians (the other being the live 'House of Yes'). It reached number 36 on the UK Albums Chart3 and number 99 on the Billboard 2004. On this album, Billy Sherwood leaves the keyboards to focus on guitar, since Russian keyboardist Igor Khoroshev has officially joined the band, and is now a full member of Yes. Canadian multi-instrumentalist Randy Raine-Reusch (en), who played with Aerosmith (Pump, 1989) and the Cranberries (To the Faithful Departed, 1996), also appears on the album recording. Steve Howe plays the koto on the track It Will Be a Good Day (The River), during the intro, around the middle, and right at the end of the song.
