The great Breton pianist reimagines his pieces in an immersive electronic album! Yann Tiersen unveils 11 5 18 2 5 18, his latest album as a limited edition transparent double vinyl! This unexpected new release from Yann Tiersen was born from an experiment by the Breton producer in the studio a few weeks before a performance at the Superbooth festival in Berlin. Yann Tiersen found himself in his studio in Ushant, to complete the story he had started with Kerber in 2021, which presented a beautifully textured and highly immersive electronic world. Using samples from Kerber and pieces from Dust Lane (2010) as sources, Tiersen re-sampled, reprogrammed, and recomposed his pieces, thus creating entirely new tracks, unrecognizable from their original versions.
