It is evident from the very first seconds: this project was made for the sheer love of music. The leader of this "supergroup," Wolfgang Haffner, is an internationally renowned drummer, often compared to Manu Katché in France. He is a very experienced musician, who started the concerts of this formation in autumn 2021. This double album is the result of recordings from several concerts during the German tour, which took place in thirteen different cities (Ingolstadt, Frankfurt, Berlin, Bremen, Baden Baden, etc.). Well-known since the 1980s as the go-to rhythmic anchor for jazz, funk, and pop groups, he chose to treat himself to a luxurious cast for this tour, bringing together "his favorite musicians." With Nils Landgren, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, and the others, this is a true "all-star band" at the pinnacle of European jazz, captured live.
