The Great Plácido Domingo Box Set

Description

Des légendaires 3 Ténors ne reste en activité aujourd'hui que Placido Domingo.
Artistic director of the Washington Opera, conductor, patron of the famous singing competition that bears his name, Placido Domingo also continues to perform on stage, having adopted the baritone tessitura, as attested by his splendid Simon Boccanegra captured by Warner Classics on DVD. The label celebrates his 75th birthday on January 21, 2016 by releasing this low-priced 3CD box set, which brings together the essentials of his career. From the great Verdi to Puccini, from Gounod to Bizet and Saint-Saëns, but also from Wagner to German operetta, you will find here an admirable synthesis of the unique legacy left by one of the greatest artists of all time.
