Clara Haskil joue Mozart

Description

These magnificent recordings by Clara Haskil dating from 1952 and 1956 were made at a time when the famous pianist’s success was steadily growing. Unlike almost any other pianist, her perception and her modest approach to art enabled her to bring Mozart’s music back to life in a natural way. Her work truly deserves to be described as “timeless” even 60 years after it was recorded. Clara Haskil’s performances in the interpretation of Mozart’s Concertos No. 9 and No. 19 are impressive, as is conductor Carl Schuricht’s performance. These remarkable interpretations represent an important moment in the collaboration between these highly acclaimed yet modest artists.
