Wolfgang Haffner is back with his new album "Silent World"! It was barely two years ago that everything suddenly calmed down and we found ourselves in a "silent world." For Wolfgang Haffner, the most prominent German drummer of our time, the halt was particularly brutal, especially due to his very busy schedule and usual work pace. He usually travels across five continents, playing with leading artists in all genres, and his exceptional talent as a drummer can be found on no less than 400 albums. But fortunately, Haffner has always considered himself a composer as much as a drummer. So it was only natural that he dedicated himself to writing music. And, for once, he didn't have to fit it in between other commitments, but could focus on it. "In the normal course of things, everything I do comes with an integrated sense of urgency to get it done and finish it. But now, I have to rely on my own resources, and without any background noise to distract me, I was able to ask myself what I really wanted to do. What my personal imprint looks like." It makes sense that the album resulting from this unique period should be called "Silent World."
