With Nature's Pill, Wishy paints a world where life seems unpredictable and overwhelming, yet still full of possibilities. In this second album bursting with energy, Wishy celebrates madness by capturing romantic frustration, neurotic desire, and the melodrama inherent in the human condition. Nature's Pill retains Wishy's trademarks: quirky lyrics that transform melancholy into freedom, choruses destined to become classics, and a wild fusion of sweet grunge, indie rock, and dream pop. Wishy's beginnings were marked by an explosion of creativity fueled by the band's musical synergy: the EPs Mana and Paradise in 2023, the first album Triple Seven in 2024, and then the EP Planet Popstar in 2025. After the success of these albums and the band's rise, the conception of Nature's Pill was radically different. Written in a more collaborative manner than previous works, the band reunited with Ben Lumsdaine, co-producer of Triple Seven, in Los Angeles, where the quintet crammed into a tiny studio and recorded half of the tracks live, infusing the album with the immediate energy of a band in perfect harmony after an intense tour. This time, it allowed them to synthesize an even broader range of references, blending the dream pop and 90s alternative rock of Triple Seven with 80s college rock and 2000s indie.
