The duo from Jerusalem and Lorraine, formed by Ruth Rosenthal and Xavier Klaine, has been developing a unique universe for about fifteen years, alternating between synthetic punk anthems and droning orations of a society on the brink. Influenced by metal, baroque music, multidisciplinary theater, and African American culture, they continue to carve out a unique path while advocating a radical discourse aware of its contradictions. Winter Family also creates documentary theater pieces produced by major European theaters. Sometimes their daughter Saralei performs with them. On Beautiful Days is Winter Family's fourth album. It features layers of church organs and harmoniums, an old piano, distortions and celestial white noise, sirens - sounds of boots - breathing during sleep - deafening grenades at checkpoint 56 in Hebron recorded by Xavier, the flows of Saralei's flutes, beats played on an iPhone, and Ruth's voice.
