It took the British quartet nearly a year to conceive and compose the eleven tracks of "Present Tense", their fourth album. Written in London and recorded in close collaboration with co-producers Lexxx and Leo Abrahams (a protégé of Brian Eno), the album reveals itself to be of astonishing richness, coherence, and sensitivity. Radically modern, "Present Tense" echoes the effervescence and the most intense sounds of 80s and 90s electronic music, with sophistication and elegance. "Present Tense" presents both a gigantic evolution in terms of production, and also bears witness to an extraordinary quality of songwriting.
