One of England's most exciting projects is releasing their highly anticipated debut, *Tough Love*, somewhere between Cocteau Twins and Boards Of Canada. For two years, Joey Cobb and Katie Drew have been building a wall of dream pop and shoegaze sound, the kind they're known for in their native North of England, where the duo returned to record the album "with a little help from Jez Williams of Doves." Through hard work and experimentation, Joey and Katie are gradually gaining confidence in their musical talents, creating a sound infused with a post-punk sensibility unique to the North of England, while adding the industrial touch of their native Preston. While the duo composes their music alone, they are also behind the album covers and all the band's visuals, gradually shaping an aesthetic universe that transcends a simple musical project. They draw parallels between Kevin Shields' (My Bloody Valentine) massive guitar wall of sound, Burial's ethereal atmosphere, and Boards Of Canada's soaring melodies.
