For the first time on record, the incredible 1959 recording of the legendary jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, playing with the Eddie Higgins Trio, at the Indianapolis Jazz Society Club. Wes is of course on guitar, Eddie Higgins on piano, and Walter Perkins on drums. A restoration job and, as always with Resonance, stunning editorial work! Event! The original tape was in the possession of Indianapolis photographer, Duncan Schiedt, who passed away in 2014 and bequeathed it to the Members of the Indianapolis Jazz Society Club. Resonance and its artistic director Zev Feldman did the rest. And the rest is a dive into the heart of this unforgettable jazz from the late 50s.
