The name is still unfamiliar to us, but we will soon recognize the voice of the man who steps onto the small stage when he begins to sing. This is followed by a little half-hour solo set, which will leave the audience captivated but especially frustrated, as at the time, it was impossible to find a single note online. Since then, WARHAUS has decided to step out of the shadows, finally allowing us to listen again to those melodies that had obsessed us so much. The time has come to officially make the introductions. WARHAUS is the artistic alter ego and solo project of Maarten Devoldere, half of the Belgian rock band Balthazar. The first album by WARHAUS, We Fucked A Flame Into Being, will be released next fall! Taken from DH Lawrence's novel, Lady Chatterley's Lover, its title seems fitting for an album that celebrates the unfathomable nature of encounters and pays tribute to the decadence and intensity that life can offer. The sixties in France, a touch of exoticism, and a neglected apathy; this album cleverly brings together fifty years of music history. For fans of Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and Serge Gainsbourg!
