Saxophonist Walter Smith III pays tribute to his hometown of Houston, Texas, on his second Blue Note album. The album's ironic title refers to the lineup, which includes fellow Houston natives pianist Jason Moran and drummer Eric Harland, while Virgin Islands-born bassist Reuben Rogers completes the quartet. Together, they animate 10 compelling originals by Smith and an imaginative interpretation of a Sam Rivers composition, all of which attest to Smith's ascending status as one of the most engaging modern jazz talents of his generation.
