Erja Lyytinen (born July 7, 1976, in Kuopio, Finland) is a Finnish singer, guitarist, and songwriter. She launched her solo career in the very early 2000s and opened for Robert Plant in 2002! She has also played with Joe Bonamassa, and Carlos Santana calls her "the Future/She's the Future." Her first album was released in 2002, followed by 10 more studio albums and 3 live albums. In 2017, she was voted Best European Guitarist at the "European Blues Awards." She played with Santana in 2018 in Helsinki. Her latest album to date, "Another World," released in 2019 (a live album was released in 2020), brought her even more recognition with the presence of Sonny Landreth and Jennifer Baten. She was ranked No. 16 in a "Guitar World" ranking published in 2019 of the 30 Best Blues Guitarists in the World today. Her "Blues" wonderfully combines Blues, Rock, Pop, Funk, and even Progressive Rock. Her stage performances are always captivating and energetic.
