After the deep and epic journey of their acclaimed pandemic-era masterpiece Red Alert in the Blue Forest, the renowned Finnish brothers Von Hertzen Brothers return with their ninth studio album, In Murmuration. 'In the purest Von Hertzen Brothers style, this album creatively juxtaposes their previous version. Even though their hard rock and imaginative multi-genre harmonies remain, the band’s artistic tendency has shifted more toward an air of optimism and renewal. The result is a work filled with stadium rock anthems, 90s-influenced art-rock, and catchy power-pop. The band formed in 2000 and quickly established itself as one of the most important and influential rock bands in Finland. The three brothers Mikko, Kie and Jonne with drummer Sami Kuoppamaki are joined by multi-instrumentalist Markus Pajakkala, who played with the brothers during their acoustic tour in 2023. Notable for his guest saxophone on 2022’s Peace Patrol, Markus brings a new dynamic to the album. Guests on the album include a gospel choir and strings from the Budapest Art Orchestra. Renowned for seamlessly blending complex arrangements and catchy melodies, Von Hertzen Brothers have not only won over their home country, but have also made a significant impact on the European and global music scene. The band has carved out its own path as a powerful touring act and has performed in 22 countries. Their latest tour in Finland sold out and festivals in Europe, including the UK, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany, followed. In 2025, the band will venture further with appearances including the renowned American progressive rock theme Cruise to the Edge.
