Escalate

Description

Such is the title, and the inherent energy - the inner fire, burning - of the fiercely exciting debut album by Glasgow's VLURE, due for release on Music For Nations. Co-produced by Conor and Manni Dee (Daniel Avery & HAAi), featuring Bobby Gillespie, PSweatpants and Gaïa, "Escalate" is a 13-track album that proudly, loudly and openly represents the sound of VLURE's hometown. The thrills of Glasgow - its daylight, its nightlife and its afterparties - are the pulse and heartbeat of Escalate. Since their debut single "Shattered Faith" in 2021, VLURE has forged a reputation as one of the most dynamic and culturally significant bands. Their performances at The Great Escape and Pitchfork Paris have been met with acclaim, their set at Shangri-La was the talk of Glastonbury, and they were named Artist of the Year by BBC Introducing Scotland in 2023. To top it all off, they also won Best Live Band at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2023. With "Escalate", VLURE has created a work unlike anything else right now, but at its core, it is an album about coming of age, friendship and self-discovery.
