Vitesse was a Dutch rock band founded by drummer and singer Herman van Boeyen, assisted by a variety of other musicians including Herman Brood. The band was active from 1975 to 1994 and had a number of successful singles in the early 1980s. Vitesse was formed in 1975 in Amsterdam by Herman van Boeyen, with Herman Brood (vocals and piano), Rob ten Bokum (guitar), and Peter Smid (bass). They signed with Reprise the same year and released a self-titled debut album. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this landmark album, Warner has released a bonus track from its archives that will be included in this reissue.
