Feeling the intensity of the present has always fascinated me, particularly in Jazz music. "While we're strollin'" is an album I envisioned and then composed while cycling through the streets of Paris, with my dictaphone. From the movement of the pedals to the sound and energy of the city, its passers-by, the time of day, melodies are created, tempos, bass lines, the entire arrangement. I also asked each member of the quartet to contribute a piece based on this same idea, to share our individual colors. I thank the musicians of the quartet for their talent and the city's passers-by for their constant inspiration.
