L'ineffable

« When in November 1998, we played for the first time, I was far from imagining that 16 years later, the 7th album of the trio would see the light of day. And yet, the essence was already there; Some speak of chemistry, affinity, complicity, complementarity. Yes, this is undoubtedly true, but the most important thing was and remains this shared jubilation that we feel when playing music that intimately resembles us, that closely follows our human evolution and consequently our artistic evolution. This is the purpose of this trio: to speak of itself, to see itself live and mature over time with no other project than to exist. From then on, the rules of the game imposed themselves; Play our own compositions, develop a common sound, affirm our group identity to try to carry our music as far as possible. “The ineffable” equally celebrates this approach and this journey as well as this extraordinary ability of music to express the inexpressible, this inexpressible fruitful of life, freedom, and love that Vladimir Jankélévitch so aptly evokes. Over the years, as an evidence of this perseverance, I realized that the titles of our first recordings formed the beginning of a sentence. Curious to see where it would lead us, and intrigued by the idea that each record is a chapter of a book that we are writing together, I had fun continuing it.
Today, it can be read as follows: “Considerations: Given the unspeakable, in other words, the time it takes for the ineffable.”
