The most provocative band from Wisconsin, which transformed the alternative rock scene, has announced the release of its first album in over 15 years: WE CAN DO ANYTHING will be released on March 4th. The trio Gordon Gano (vocals/guitar), Brian Ritchie (bass), and Brian Viglione (drums) is bolder than ever, crossing genres and emotions with a formula that is uniquely its own: a mix of turbulent folk, minimalist punk, blues, and raw rock'n roll. For the writing of the album, Gano dug into his own archives, listening to old demos and drawing inspiration from old notebooks. Among his discoveries are the potential classics "Big Car" and "I Could Be Anything"; as well as more recent tracks including "Foothills" and "Holy Ghost." Recorded between Brooklyn, Nashville, L.A., Milwaukee, and Denver, the album was produced by Jeff Hamilton while John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.) was in charge of mixing.
