Dreaming allows you to escape, to breathe when you are caught in the torments and turmoil of a rock band whose destiny and designs you suddenly no longer really control. Jérôme Coudanne with Deportivo and Robin Feix within Louise Attaque have thus experienced these bands with mandatory growth, with increasingly uncontrollable gigantism. Vertige is what they needed, a personal band, a pressure-free band, a band for the pleasure of playing. With the oxymoron of "radical pop" as a beacon in writing, Vertige combines melody and radicality, due to the radicality of the sound, the attitudes, or the hallucinatory words. Using only a bass, no guitar, a voice, and a few crooked keyboards, Jérôme and Robin cling to the naivety of their beginnings, to that spontaneity, to that freshness, to always get to the essentials.
