Description

Mythodea is an epic choral symphony by Greek composer Vangelis, originally composed in 1993. With the support of NASA and the Greek government, he recorded the symphony at the Music Hall of Greece with two harpists, a 120-strong choir from the Greek National Opera, the 75-member London Metropolitan Orchestra, and some percussionists. In this incredible work, human civilization is represented in space. In a classical atmosphere, Vangelis explores new musical territories. His pseudo-lyrics, which he wrote himself, sound incredible in the vocal harmonies of the chorus and allow the listener to choose their own meaning from the movements. The award-winning composer of electronic, progressive, orchestral, and jazz music began his career working in several successful bands, such as Aphrodite's Child. He has composed over 50 albums and remains creative in developing new concepts.
