Bound by a shared open-mindedness and a passion for contemporary music, Wilhem Latchoumia and Vanessa Wagner are adventurous pianists whose mastery spans from the great repertoire to contemporary music. They are currently continuing their exploration of the repertoire for two pianos, taking on iconic scores of early 20th-century French music to offer us new insights. They pay tribute to musical impressionism with a program featuring the greatest masters of this movement, where the complicity and nuanced energy of the performers will captivate both enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The preeminence of color over line, the dissolution of the subject, a predisposition to dreaming and a call to the distant, hedonism, stasis and suspended time, a quest for suggestion, and an attraction to mystery and the supernatural: these are some of the striking traits of impressionist music, of which Debussy's Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune is the first and most famous illustration.
