Her curiosity, thirst for discovery, and boldness have led her to cultivate eclecticism, to follow less-traveled paths, and to take us where we might not necessarily expect. Very involved in the field of creation, she has also developed a passion for the minimalist movement and shows a penchant for music of purity. From her multiple immersions in often hypnotic sound universes, Vanessa Wagner has emerged different, freer, and more inclined to reveal herself. It is thus that she presents us today with her undoubtedly most personal album, for which she has matured the program over two long years, constructing an imaginary and fantasized narrative from miniatures by Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, and Glinka. The pianist becomes the author and narrator of a tale of shadows and light.
