Description

Neysa May Barnett and Emile Larroche form UTO. They left Paris before the apocalypse of 2020 to go live in a wood in the Loiret bordered by the fertile fields of the Beauce that feed the Paris region. Their cabin-studio is located near a castle that first hosted the erotic pleasures of Pierre-Antoine Berryer before turning into an amphetamine lab during the Second World War. It is there that they compose their first album "Touch The Lock" to be released at the end of summer 2022. A strange backwater for a strange duo whose music is difficult to pin down. Strange and mature, experimental with highly effective rhythms, their music is at the crossroads of mainstream and weird. Music with two heads and two hands, there are also two sides on "Touch The Lock". If the first part of the album is rather in-your-face pop (Délaisse, Souvent Parfois, Row Paddle, Heavy Metal), the second is more ambivalent and experimental (Steps In The Dark, Take It All, Lock Myself, This New Phase).
